How to set up alerts & notifications

Alerts let you choose how and when you want to be reminded before a seasonal window begins — so you’re notified instead of having to check manually.

Real-world example

Set a 3-day lead time and choose to be alerted for your watchlist stocks. You’ll be reminded a few days before each relevant seasonal pattern starts.

Step-by-step

  1. 1Open the Alerts page from the menu.
  2. 2Enter the email you want notifications sent to.
  3. 3Choose a lead time — how many days before a pattern starts to be notified.
  4. 4Pick your sources: alerts from your Watchlist and/or your Saved Patterns.
  5. 5Save your preferences.

What to expect & how to read it

Your alert preferences are stored to your account. Once delivery is enabled, you’ll receive a reminder ahead of each qualifying seasonal window.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Setting the lead time too short to act on (1 day may not be enough).
  • Expecting alerts for stocks you haven’t added to your watchlist or saved patterns.

Tips for beginners

  • A 3–5 day lead time is a good default — enough notice without being too early.
  • Combine alerts with a focused watchlist so you only hear about names you care about.
